Geoprime from München develops, operates, and expands state-of-the-art geothermal power plants across Germany – with a strong focus on Upper Bavaria. As part of the IKAV Group, we are responsible for the expansion and operational management of the geothermal heating plant in Taufkirchen near Munich, a flagship project already supplying clean, reliable heat.
But our work starts much earlier: we identify promising sites, analyze geological conditions, and develop tailored project concepts. Backed by experience and cutting-edge technology, we turn geothermal potential into high-impact energy systems.

Trailblazing Innovation –
The Landau Project
One of our milestones is the geothermal project in Landau. geoprime developed and operated the facility with a forward-looking vision: to combine clean energy production with cutting-edge innovation.
In late 2024, the project was transferred from IKAV to Vulcan Energy. It now enters a new phase, providing not just district heating and electricity but also supporting lithium extraction – a testament to the vast potential of geothermal systems.
Projects like this demonstrate that geothermal energy is more than just heat – it’s a catalyst for innovation and sustainability.
